Privacy Policy
Effective 27 July 2026. Last updated 27 July 2026.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what Anew “U” Wellness (“Anew ‘U’”, “we”, “us”) does with information collected through our websites:
- anewuessentials.com and www.anewuessentials.com, our main site
- rac.anewuessentials.com, the companion page for the RAC Your Image journal workbook
It applies to visitors to those sites and to people who give us an email address through them. It is written to be read, not to be survived, so it says plainly what we collect and why.
It does not cover information you give us in the course of receiving services from us. That is the subject of the next section, and it matters.
2. Health information is handled differently
Please read this part
Anew “U” Wellness provides behavioral health and wellness services. Information about your health, your care, or your treatment is not governed by this policy.
If you request an appointment, become a client, or otherwise share health information with us in connection with services, that information is protected health information and is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable health privacy law, including HIPAA where it applies. Ask us for that notice and we will provide it.
Two practical consequences:
- The appointment request form on our site is operated by a third party, HushForms, under an arrangement intended for health information. What you submit there goes to us through that service, not through the general website systems described below.
- Please do not send health details through the general channels. The email signup on the book page, and ordinary email to us, are not the right place for clinical information. Use the appointment request form, or call us.
3. This website is not for emergencies
If you are in crisis
Nothing on our websites is monitored in real time. If you are in danger, or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Do not use a website form to ask for urgent help.
The RAC Your Image workbook and its online reflection are guided personal development. They are not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or medical advice, and using them does not make you our client.
4. What we collect
Information you give us
Email address
When you ask to be told the online reflection has opened, or when you write to us.
Book code
The code printed in the workbook, recorded exactly as you type it, so we can tell readers of the book apart from other visitors.
Anything else you type
If you write to us, we keep what you wrote so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
Approximate country
Derived by our hosting provider from your connection. Country level only, not your city, and not your street.
Browser and device type
The standard identifier your browser sends with every request, which tells us roughly what kind of device you used.
Date and time
When you submitted something.
We do not store your IP address alongside your signup, we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on our sites, and we do not build a profile of you or track you across other websites.
5. How we use it
We use what we collect only for the reasons you would expect:
- To tell you when the online reflection for the workbook opens.
- To reply to you when you contact us.
- To send you occasional news about Anew “U” if you asked to hear from us.
- To understand, in aggregate, how many people are finding the book pages and from roughly where, so we can keep them working.
- To keep the sites secure and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
6. Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We have never done so.
We use a small number of service providers to run the sites. They may process information on our behalf, and only for us:
Cloudflare
Hosts the book companion pages and stores the email signup list.
Replit
Hosts our main website.
HushForms
Operates the appointment request form, which is embedded on our site and is subject to the health information terms described in section 2.
Google Fonts
Our pages load typefaces from Google's font service. Because your browser fetches those files directly, Google receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads. Google states that it does not use these requests to build advertising profiles. We set no Google cookies.
Our email provider
Carries messages between you and us.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, if we need to protect someone's safety, or if our business is transferred to another owner. In that last case we would tell you before your information became subject to a different policy.
7. Email, and how to stop it
If you gave us your email address to be told when the reflection opens, that is what we will use it for. Every marketing message we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly. You can also simply write to us and ask to be removed, and we will do it.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop messages we need to send you about something you specifically asked for, or about your care if you are a client.
8. Cookies and storage on your device
Our book companion pages set no cookies, and we run no advertising or analytics cookies anywhere on our sites.
Some pages save your answers in your own browser's local storage so you do not lose them if you close the page part way through. That information stays on your device, is not sent to us until you submit the form, and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.
Third parties whose content appears on our site, such as the embedded appointment request form, may set their own cookies under their own policies.
9. How long we keep it
- Email signups: until you ask us to remove you, or until the workbook programme they relate to has ended and there is no longer a reason to keep them.
- Correspondence: as long as we need it to deal with what you wrote about, and to keep a reasonable business record afterwards.
- Health and clinical records: for the period required by law and professional obligation, which is usually longer, and which is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices rather than here.
10. Your choices and your rights
Whoever and wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- give you a copy of it,
- correct it if it is wrong,
- delete it, and
- stop sending you marketing.
Email michelle@anewuessentials.com and say what you want. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and we aim to do it sooner. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, the right to object to certain processing, and the right to complain to your data protection authority or state attorney general. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, several of those rights have nothing to bite on here. The rest are available to you by writing to the address above.
If you ask us to delete information we are required by law or professional obligation to keep, such as a clinical record, we will explain what we cannot delete and why.
11. Children
Our websites are intended for adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
If a young person is using the workbook, we ask that a parent or guardian handle any signup on their behalf.
12. Security
We keep what we collect to a minimum, which is the most effective protection available. Information is transmitted over encrypted connections, stored with reputable providers, and reachable only by people who need it.
No website or database can be guaranteed completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affected your information and the law required us to tell you, we would.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you directly rather than relying on you to notice.
14. How to reach us
Questions about this policy, or about anything we hold about you:
